{ ღ } — ”… Ah, can anyone tell me what all those... 'strip bars' are?" He hadn't really heard of them, just seen them and hadn't really bothered to go inside, but curiosity had been gnawing at him endlessly. For some reason it felt like a bad question to ask and it made him sound almost stupid.

Night had long fallen since Takao had decided to step out. Silence enveloped the streets with an almost eerie tenor, and there hadn't been another person in sight, or in earshot for that matter. He was completely alone, walking along nonchalantly with a convenience store bag slack and swinging in hand. He probably would've felt more uneasy being out by himself at such an hour if he his nerves hadn't been so lax from meeting his deadline. One that caused him and his assistants to go without any sleep for the night prior. It'd be another week before such pressure consumed him again, or maybe this time, he'd actually get a jump start on the work. Hell, he was in the mood for it, it wasn't like he ever didn't want to draw. Just the very thought of returning home and getting started excited him and his mind began to flood with ideas.
Only to be ebbed by strange sounds coming from the alley he'd been in the midst of walking past.
Now he'd been no idiot, that was for sure. He knew that it would've been in his best interests to simply keep walking, however he simply couldn't help but let the sounds of evident distress capture his attention. Coming to a halt he turned back and stood at the base of the alleyway. "Hello? Is somebody there?," he called out, to which his only response was the continuing sounds of muffled screaming and groaning. He tried again with another, "H-hello?," followed by an, "Are you okay?". His feet seemed to move on their own accord as he meandered slightly closer to the source of the sounds. He'd grown nervous, to the point where he'd actually noticed how dark it really was outside, and how alone he really was, not to mention defenseless. His eyes searched for a source of sound, and when they'd found it, he wasn't quite sure if he actually believed what he was seeing.
There were two people, one screaming-- although those screams had quickly dissipated and were now nothing more than lethargic groans. And the other, well he wasn't quite sure what they were doing, but they seemed to be in some sort of odd embrace with the aforementioned person. He couldn't quite make it out, he wasn't sure if he even wanted to anymore. Still, he couldn't help himself from asking "Is everything okay?," to the one that'd seemed to be perfectly fine.
With every passing second his regret grew greater. He was ready to run, right foot pivoted in case the situation proved just as bad as he'd feared.
