its funny to me that in like 2016-era undertale fandom the two most popular depictions of chara were something like "evil psychopath murderer mastermind" and "innocent misunderstood moe anime girl" and that i think as a result after 10 years of fandom the usual depiction of them has settled into a happy middle ground of "weirdo creepy freak but in a (mostly) harmless way"
