While I donāt have the energy to make themed meals I do have the energy to make cakes so I made cakes themed to the main characters in Tsubasa Chronicles for the month of content.
Sakuraās were cherry and geranium blossom (I didnāt have access to cherry blossom unfortunately otherwise I would have used that).
Mokonaās had glace cherries and white chocolate chips and then the icing was melted down marshmallows, white chocolate and cream (the sugar rush from this was so intense that I had to go on a walk right away just to get rid of the energy).
Syaoranās was honey and oat cake and was really good! Kind of like a flapjack mixed with a cake? Definitely the most wholesome out of everything I made.
Kuroganeās was a stem ginger loaf covered with a dark chocolate ganache and the shell of an egg my parents gave me for Easter (Iām literally the most picky person I know about chocolate and it would have just sat around on the shelf otherwise...) because it was very pretty and ended up reminding me a little of Ginryuu and dragon scales.
Faiās cakes were chocolate with white chocolate chips and then a white chocolate peach schnapps whipped cream and a peach ring on top. Peach is definitely the flavour which is most him to me- peach rings was not the way to go about it and I only realised later that I literally could have used dried apricots or mango or something or tinned peaches and it would have looked and tasted a lot better... Also. I should have used a better quality peach schnapps, less peach schnapps or just a peach juice of some kind because the cream turned out very bitter and I was the only person who could really stomach it.... (of course Faiās would turn out deceptively bitter....)
