Sometimes i think about dissociating Hidan who just really wants hugs yet just too numb to even ask for support or tell his partner that he's not doing well, and about Kakuzu who can easily see that Hidan is too quiet and has that blank expression on his face, and just come to talk to him, distract him, sit or lay beside him, leading Hidan into cuddling with him or just resting his head on his shoulder while not feeling alone.
And sometimes i think about Kakuzu when he's vulnerable yet so grumpy, and just don't want to be touched while being desperate for it at the same time. And Hidan who despite his partner's hissing just come to hug him and doesn't feel any resistance. Sometimes Kakuzu can even lean on him or complain about something quietly if Hidan is asking for it for long enough time.

Also Hidan is 100 percent a freak in all the ways, so Deidara probably feels extremely intelligent and adept even with no arms to Kakuzu, compared to his Freaky partner. Who doesn't die.
