I'm going to use the main pair from the project I'm working on right now, Children of the Mind's Eye (which I should be done with soon so releasing in august or november)

Noan Isle and Til Tanner are the main ship, and it's Noan by a mile.

Noan is an absolutely balls to the wall wizard who's spent most of his teen to early adulthood being unable to form real relationships with people, so he deals by being a menace and seducing as many people as he can. He absolutely loves Til though and wants nothing more than to crawl into his skin beside him and live there. (in a non creepy way.)

Til on the other hand entered the knighthood of his own free will and chose a life of celibacy and innate separation from other people for a reason. Part of it being that as much as he craves human connection, he'd much rather keep most people at arms length. (his sister, Noan, and his adoptive kids are the exceptions) Til also just doesn't think about it most of the time, he'll drop kisses on his family members heads when he leaves/comes home, but he doesn't think about much more than that.

They make for a pretty good pair though, lots of issues pairing up nicely between them.

Today's blorbo is going to be Daniel, again, because he's the one who gets his own series so I desperately want to talk more about him all the time.

At the start of the story, Daniel is 15, so we got a fair amount of child and teen hood to work with.

I think I've mentioned before, but Danny's dad was in the film industry, and his mom really wanted to be, but never had her moment on screen. Daniel's the younger of two children, and the only boy.

His dad's connections and his mom's desire for fame led to Daniel having a major role in a short live TV show called "Falls & Whispers," where he played the protagonist's (Penelope Falls played by Nora O'Neil) son "Sky Falls." Over the course of the show's filming Daniel learned a lot of skills on and off set.

After having a lot of time spent trying to be who his mom wants him to be, but having learned the skills he has, Daniel has a spectacular ability to people please at an insane level but he's also often the last to speak, waiting to see what others have to say and reacting from there.

Although Daniel loves his parents, and loved getting to know everyone he worked with on set, he's glad he didn't continue acting career for his mother's sake, it means he can be who he wants to be.

I actually tend to switch POVs a couple times, though usually there's one main POV, the main character, and then for a scene or a chapter or two I'll switch. Usually it's for a scene or chapter where the main character doesn't know something, or for something very important to the plot that they wouldn't do, but someone else might.

As for keeping their voices distinct, for me that's more of a character trait thing. If I have the character's as unique individuals, they should already have distinct voices, which make for unique POVs. Their thoughts, what's going on in their heads, will be different from each other as long as they are, themselves, different characters.

As far as, well, fanfic in general, I have written nothing. This is because I have undergone the worst sorrows of my life this month, along with turning 25.

In terms of professional type writing though! I finished writing Undeath on the High Seas, which is a standalone Zombie Apocalypse novel set on a cruise ship. It's a shorter novel that will officially be available for sail November 25th, 2025.

I'd add my wordcounts and stuff, but sadly I had to suddenly change tracking software last month and didn't think to update lifetime totals or anything like that.
