10. Is your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?
As a Jedi, he’s got a pretty solid education as a base, but he relies on his intuition much more than knowledge. He finds it hard to trust information he only ever reads in a book, so hands on experience is how he learns things for keeps. So I’d say he’s more street-smart (this doesn’t mean he doesn’t read or do research, he just prefers confirming his studies in the real world).
Some Jedi, especially on the council, don’t particularly appreciate this, since it kind of goes against the “there is no ignorance, only Knowledge” part of the Jedi Code.
16. What does your character do for a living? How do they see their profession? What do they like about it? Dislike?
Jedi Knight! He’s very proud of being one, especially during his young adult life (so during TPM era). As the Clone Wars begin and drag on, he gets more and more conflicted about what his role in the galaxy is, just like most Jedi.
He sees himself as a protector, tasked with helping and keeping people safe throughout the galaxy. Being a Jedi is a responsibility which he takes very seriously.
He likes that being a Jedi allows him to travel to every corner of the galaxy, especially to see new flora (he’s a bit of a plant mom) and experience new civilizations. That said, he hates deep space travel, and tries to avoid long stretches on time in cruisers. Obviously he also hates fighting in an actual war, but that’s, well. Obvious.
21. What are your characters manners like? What is their type of hero? Whom do they hate?
He’s well mannered, but blunt. He was trained by Master Plo, so he’s very respectful and always tries to find a non-confrontational solution to disputes (even in battle), but doesn’t sugar coat his words. If he thinks you’re in the wrong, he will respectfully tell you. He doesn’t talk a lot, but that’s not for fear or being timid, if he thinks something needs to be said or done, he’ll say or do it.
He especially respects honesty and selflessness. People who gladly put themselves in danger for others. He’s got a real knack for self-sacrifice. The Jedi he respects aren’t always the wisest or most powerful, but the kindest. On the flip side, those who put other people’s lives in danger for their own gain are the worst people to him. Even people who say “it’s for the greater good” often get on his bad side. Unless the situation is especially dire, he is a firm believer that there is always a way to save everyone.
25. What are their hobbies and interests?
Like I mentioned, he is quite a plant mom. Any room he lives in for any period of time (his quarters in the Temple, on his cruiser,…) are lush with vegetation and he’s got a crazy green thumb. Especially on Coruscant: the planet city is crazy rich in Force “ripples” I guess. He can hear and feel so many different emotions and feelings, so plants act as a kind of buffer. They don’t stop the feelings, but they dampen them enough for him to properly relax and focus.
He’s also interested in history and mythology, and when he’s not on duty, you might find him in the Archives reading about some outer-rim planet’s history.
