Help me write a Fenhanders fic (pt. 1)
It was close to Satinalia, and the Hawke household was busy with preparations for the upcoming festivities.
Food had to be prepared, decorations had to be set up, and Satinalia masks had to be either purchased or made. There was a lot to do, and despite having hosted feasts before, Hawke was beginning to worry about getting everything prepared in time for Satinalia.
"Things will be fine, messere! We have everything in the house under control!" Bodhan reassured. "Sandal and I will set up the decorations, and you can count on Orana to cook up a fine feast for the party. You won't have to worry about a thing!"
But Hawke was mulling over the other things that needed to be prepared ... most notably, gifts.
The years spent in Kirkwall had brought Hawke many dear friends. Isabela would probably want a new hat, and Merrill had mentioned needing new gardening tools. Varric would be happy with just about anything by way of alcoholic beverages, Aveline would want something practical like sword polish. Sebastian had told Hawke in advance he didn't want a Satinalia present, and to simply donate to the Chantry in his name.
Which left Anders and Fenris, two of Hawke's dearest companions, but were notoriously difficult to buy gifts for. Anything Anders couldn't use personally he would end up using for his clinic, or end up giving to his patients. Fenris wasn't used to being pampered, and more often than not would end up buying things he wanted for himself. Hawke would have to try harder to find Satinalia gifts for the both of them.
"Well, it's not as if I haven't figured my way out of worse things before,"
Hawke grinned, eyes glinting like the twin blades he wielded often.

Hawke laughed, despite not being able to magic his way out of this one.

Hawke sighed, wishing this could be solved with just a swing of his broadsword.
