Green Gregory’s crew was called the Red-Handed Jacks and was the most successful crew in all of Candle Cove in their time. (Greg doesn’t play this up though.)
Also, he was nicknamed “Green” Gregory because he gets seasick easily.
I'm retconning what I said about sirens being solitary. They actually live in one giant village that's made up of sunken ships. Whenever ships sail over that area, they get sunken and made into living spaces.
Also, I’m retconning their abilities a little bit. Sirens are able to influence people’s emotions, desires, and neurological states (e.g., their urge to sleep), but they CANNOT control people’s wills. In other words, they can make people WANT to jump overboard but whether or not a person CHOOSES to jump overboard is up to the person. Like, they don't have total control over people. (I thought it would be more interesting if sirens didn't have such a crazy amount of leverage in, say, fight scenarios, and had to think cleverly and strategize rather than rely totally on their magic.)
Percy developed his belief about bravery = good and cowardice = bad (and his subsequent self-loathing from being cowardly) by trying to imitate Schot, who was always very stoic. But the only reason Schot was so stoic was because he was trying to repress his trauma and put on a brave face for his son. To make him feel safe. He never meant for Percy to think that he would be unworthy if he stopped being brave.
I know that the wiki says that the people who live in the Sand Lands are human, but I'm gonna ignore that because, I mean, the ocean BOILS in the Sand Lands. I don't think humans can survive in that climate. So yeah, I headcanon the people who come from the Sand Lands (Sunny included) to be a different race called Sandlandians, who are able to survive in hot climates and look sort of reptilian.
In the early days of the Laughingstock Crew, Dr. Heartfelt would stay aboard the ship and babysit Milo whenever the rest of the crew would go out to fight/look for treasure/whatever. Milo doesn't remember this at all, though, or at least he acts like he doesn’t. When he rejoined the crew, he had no idea who Heartfelt was. (Heartfelt took this hard. He was like a nephew to him!! How can he not remember?)
