Being successful is never easy, but graduating almost two months ago with no job and tons of time on your hand gives the opportunity to obsess over how you will become successful. I am not the typical blogger. I don't blog every annoying thing in my life, I tried and failed miserably. I just wanted to write about my ambitions and journey to being successful. I gotta start somewhere, and transitioning into a new chapter in your life isn't fast (as much as you want it to be). As a avid video game player, there is no cheat. I know where I want to be, but it takes time and hard work to get there. I'm writing for my sanity.

This blog is my outlet for me. It gives me motivation to keep working hard at my goals. Checking each goal off the list, is a step in my career. So many times people say, "When I start my career..." These people already have jobs, may live with their parents until they can independently provide for themselves ( including me). I have come to the realization that I have started my career, its that prerequisite class you have to take in order to get the interesting class. The prerequisite might be boring, no where near what you want to be doing, but a requirement. A job not in your field, or put simply a job for money is that prerequisite class. 

In order to make that jump to (insert location here), I need to be able to support myself. I want to be independent and paying my bills, and that requires money. I just graduated in one of the worst job markets imaginable, but I'm not making that an excuse. If believe there are no jobs out there for me to save my money, then there are no jobs out there for me. Optimism is key! Right now I work in retail with a potential second retail job (Cross fingers second interview at the end of the month.)

I have had so much time to think about my goals and decipher whats a want and what I really need. This is my short term goals.

Get a job to stack cash

Reach $1,000 in my bank account 

I know $1,000 dollars is not a lot but thats my goal especially coming from my perspective. Each time I scratch through a goal start the next short term goal. There is no order to accomplishing my goals, just do what comes first. As for long term goals.

Build credit

Reach $10,000 

Pay for MY bills

Buy a car

Sign contract for the next step in my career

What inspires me comes from things I see, hear, and do. It could a image, a song, a video. My biggest inspiration comes from film. Ideas, premieres, film news, trailers. Keeping myself looking at the big picture, I want to make movies!
