Goals
So I’m done with work now. Last shift done. Tomorrow is my last day home. A new adventure awaits for me.
So in light of this, its time to list some goals. Not just generic goals but specific ones with quantifiable measure. Lets try this.
1) Get to uni + make friends
2) Get in the gym, aim to go 3 times a week.
3) Join football and basketball teams
4) Learn to fucking swim
5) Study hard and don’t fall behind
6) Buy one item of clothing a week, yes this is serious.
7) Either restart Youtube channel or T shirt business.
8) If I do number 8, make £100 by the end of the year.
9) Work on some independent project idea related to my course
10) 9 should really be 10 but learn to cook at least 3 new dishes by the end of the year.
Now I know I said quantifiable measure but essentially by the end of the year is the time frame for most of these. I am accountable to this list. Also some special spiritual mention should be made. Stick to my faith and become much more versed in it. If I can achieve this in one year then there are no limits to what I can achieve in second year.
VALUE
Goals are important. Target setting gives you something to aim for. Doing something blindly usually isn’t the best way to go. Often you can become lost. Direction is important, ultimately the end goal is to better yourself. However the journey you take will be one that only you will truly be able to appreciate. Just do it and stop waiting. Every moment you live is a new opportunity. Don’t waste it. Successful people recognise and seize their opportunities. Others just wait and let them pass because they weren't easy enough for them. Generally, the harder something is, the greater its value. Go get it.
