-It wasn't honestly as fatalistic as I was worried it was going to be, to be honest. The leaks and the rumours were honestly so bad I was expecting carnage. Not saying it's going to go smoothly. It's rough, since Endeavor got clipped badly by AFO, but there is a chance that things can be turned around.

ETA-Re-reading the chapter again: The Event Horizon is Hawks in this one since we now know that he's got prosthetics for his feathers and he considers himself crippled and says as much to AFO. Having Tokoyami basically giving him his faith and loyalty and the realisation of how much he wants to support Endeavor pulls him mostly out.

-Endeavor will have another even horizon like with the High End Nomu and if they do land the blow that spells the beginning of the end, it will be a nice closing parallel for them to finish their arcs off and let the new heroes come in. Although Hawks can be an older stateman type, it would be Endeavor's last stand.

ETA: Now I just read a speculation on the injury and it is possible that AFO bit off his arm instead of taking a chunk out of his side. If that's the case, he's not going to be much help since he won't be able to do his big moves without two hands. I really, really hope not, but considering the symbolism of him stating his victory pose wasn't All Might's and that being the arm was may have been bitten off...

It would be a heavy handed (pun not intended) reminder that Endeavor will never be like All Might.

-AFO and Hawks are right that Endeavor needs to get his head in the game. It's obvious by the hit he receives despite making some headway. The jab about Dabi was going to happen and as much as I had hoped that he'd not fall for it, Endeavor did. This needs to be closed and I do think that Endeavor will overcome it and give back as good asuch a s he gets. We just gotta be patient.

-Hawks really loves Endeavor. Like if this isn't super obvious in this chapter, I don't know what else is needed to show how much Hawks loves him and get him. I don't see that it is a cheapening of his character, but a show that he's still got that optimism if he's going to be there for Endeavor no matter what.

-Hawks is Sir Nighteye to Endeavor. Which does worry me a bit since we know what happened to Sir Nighteye. Hoping things don't parallel each other that closely.

-Jirou coming in clutch, fuck yeah! Love that this girl is sassing AFO back. I hope she can do some serious damage to help the old guard along with Tokoyami!

-Tokoyami basically told his senpai how much he cares and will fight with him! He's the best dude, helping out his senpai and the man he loves without a second thought! It made me go Oh shit. That was so not expected. It's also sweet and honestly a genuine look into who Hawks truly is. Like this is all him and it's endearing in a way. Everyone can see it because it's such an influential part of him.
