Torlina bit her lip and looked at her hands.  She placed one against the side of Falran's thumb, taking in exactly how fragile she really was.  She wondered at Falran's gentleness, how he never once hurt any of the Liraiphes, even accidentally.  He was so powerful.  If he wanted to, he really could lock her in a trap with no effort at all.  She did not want to push him to that point.  She would be the worse person if she did.
