As around 4-5 years before present day, something about the dynamic seemed to have decayed. No one is entirely sure how it all started, however the fracture was certainly starting to show. As Quintinus seems to recall, "I vaguely remember that before the fall out, Ronald and Sylvanna were having quite a few relationship problems, and usually the two seemed to resolve them, yet somehow even back then. I knew that this one wasn't going to be resolved." The conflict between the two lovers had an effect on the harmony and thus where Sylvanna may have disagreed strongly with how Quintinus acted.

The tension finally snapped as Quintinus finally confronted Sylvanna and bluntly said, "I respected the way you maintain order, for without order there is no harmony. Back then you still maintained order, yet you understood that however rarely, the law isn't always going to save the innocent. However, these days you seem to only act according to code. Your heart, your mind, and your soul are chained to the code!" Only for Quintinus to lean in close and quietly yet bluntly uttered, "You and your boyfriend are on your own." Sylvanna during that moment went through an emotional rollercoaster feeling a rush, of shock, surprise, sadness, anger and desperation. However, Quintinus never saw how Sylvanna reacted, as he turned his back to depart for the absolutely last time.

In addition, Quintinus went to Ronald and thanked Ronald for the help and the mediation that he had provided throughout the years, however it has become clear that Quintinus would prefer to act on his own for he finds Sylvanna's rigidity to be too suffocating. Ronald, true to his nature tried to find a middle ground and insisted that he speak with Sylvanna again, however Quintinus politely but firmly informed him, "I made my choice, and it is final. I understand your good intentions, and for this I wish you the best of luck in whatever you end up doing." Ronald was initially stunned by the finality of Quintinus' tone however out of respect Ronald respected Quintinus' decision and wished him well too.

Whatever happened between both Ronald and Sylvanna was only discovered by Quintinus years later and in vague bits and pieces as Quintinus never felt the need to pry into such intimate details. He instead focused on becoming more of a Lightning Bruiser, as opposed to the Balanced Samurai he once was. However, despite the goodness that Quintinus has brought to the universe of, there are a few who are friends of Sylvanna who did not take too well to what Quintinus said all of those years ago. Yet he acts in heroic ways not for fame or for fortune, but for what is good.
