Ah no, not right now, though they ARE doing live tattooing at various times. I did kind of consider it, I know what I want, but I don’t think it’s the time yet.

Sam, do you have any sources for the Salvation Army's similar trespasses in Canada? We have stricter rules about what a religious charity can and cannot do in terms of labour & evangelism, but I can't find anything non-anecdotal about what they get up to despite that.

Not off the top of my head, but honestly the sources I cited this morning? Came from googling “salvation army scandal” and “salvation army homophobia” and similar, and occasionally clicking on the News button. I knew about the stuff, I just wanted to have news sources to cite.

Who manufactures the Fire? Some Asus tablets, for instance, have a thing where if they're severely dead (or charged at an outlet with hinky voltage) they refuse to even turn on, even plugged in, until they get to a minimum level of nice juice. (she said, optimistically...?)

Apparently, this is a relatively common complaint with the Fire HD (you get what you pay for, I guess!) It’s charging now, and turned on, so I’m crossing my fingers it wasn’t quite plugged in right last night.
