He had called from the car, still teetering between rage and a full shutdown, his daughters silent in the backseat. He knew they would be welcome to stay at their grandparents for a couple of days while he worked out living arrangements for the three of them and it would let him make good on his threat.

Still, he knocked when they got there instead of just letting himself in, ever mindful of how upsetting his presence could be to his mother on a bad day.

"Then why did Mom do all that stuff to me? What did I do wrong that made her so mad at me?"

He had seen her at the bar and, while he had been there to do some hunting of his own, it was rare for someone to scope a location before him. Especially one that nearly matched Chance's preferred victim type.

He wrapped the shadows around himself as he trailed after her, silent and intrigued. He wasn't sure if she could sense him or not, but he wasn't entirely sure he cared as he settled himself in a corner to watch her work.

It had taken a little planning, setting up a specific time frame to make sure Sera would even be lucid for this conversation. It hadn't been difficult to get the papers drawn up but he had a feeling that getting her to sign them would not be easy.

After everything Robbie had confessed to Britt, he was barely containing his rage when he strode across the basement to the cage, finally laying eyes on Sera for the first time since she had threatened his children.

“You’re acting...off. Are you sulking?” Chance questioned, looking his youngest over with something akin to amusement. 

He thought sulking was the right word, it had been said about him when he was about that age, but he still wasn’t entirely sure what sulking even was. But he could tell there was something different about his son and he didn’t exactly like that either. He could feel enough to know that, at least.
