The French 77 is a delicious twist on the classic French 75 cocktail, and it's the perfect way to ring in the New Year in style. Adding elderflower liqueur gives the drink a floral sweetness that goes well with the gin's sourness and the Champagne's fizz.
Ingredients: 1 oz gin. 1/2 oz elderflower liqueur. 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice. Champagne, to top up.
Instructions: Fill a shaker with ice. Add gin, elderflower liqueur, and lemon juice. Shake well until chilled. Strain into a champagne flute. Top up with Champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.
