Chakra Restaraunt review wrap up
Phew. I didn't mean to write all that. Really, i didn't. But i had so much to say. (Big surprise).
The net result is that I would definitely say you should check out Chakra. Some innovative thinking went into the dishes. Spotty performance in places, but definitely some good thoughts.
As a side note - our server Fausto was great. Engaging, thoughtful, and present when necessary without hovering. He heard our feedback and was interactive without being either pandering or defensive. (Much more so than the manager, who came over at the end of the meal and gave us a token hello.)
In any case, there were items on the menu we didn't get to try. The tuna tartar, for example (which was billed as more of a poke than a true tartar). The smoked pork tenderloin, and the "TC" Steak. All looked good.
But we wanted to go the "tasting menu" route, even if Chakra didn't offer one, so we made our own. If you're just joining us for this post, feel free to go back and read through each of the dishes (#chakrarestaurant), with accompanying photos. Here's their info, if you want it:
