♠ – ❛ HEY ROSE, PLAY YOUR HAND ! ( ♠ )
Upcoming schedules meant leaving home for a while. Albeit a month left until touring began, more than anyone, she was aware of how quick time flies; in a blink, it’ll be the end of the year and she wouldn’t even remember a time where free days were so freely accessible. It was both a blessing and a curse to have such a set up, a re-introduction to the music industry — the slow increase in activities made it so that they hadn’t completely surrendered their personal lives, but she knew what was expected of them once they officially debuted.
Had she not organised to meet Rose now, when would be the next time they’d see each other?
It was difficult, especially considering she was such a homebody even when she wasn’t busy. Still, something compelled her to go out, feel the breeze — it was spring, her favourite time of the year, and the blue stretch above was decorated with the slow and soft clouds. Sprawled upon the emerald see of green, grass tickled her bare arms. In silence, she watched the clouds above float without predetermined paths. Until her companion pipes up, she almost forgets that this is reality.
“Do you really?” A question which requires no real answer. Perhaps they had no care in the world, but Somin did not see this as a desirable life. Turning to shift her line of sight from the sky to her friend, she seeks comfort in this new position on her side. Between finger and thumb a long blade of grass is twirled as her hair partially curtains her face, regardless of the attempts to blow those locks away. “To me, it’s slightly sad. They have no direction, no control. Constantly shifting and changing shape — even though they’re almost eternal, they’re the most fleeting thing in the world.”
