I love the bird’s reaction shot
Kaido’s had quite the glowup since the Skypiea arc, hasn’t he?
Ok hear me out
What if
Enji fails to save Natsuo due to not wanting/being able to kill the villain
BUT
Natsuo uses his (currently unknown) quirk to take the villain out himself. Enji realises that the son he spent his whole life ignoring is actually pretty dang talented, but Nat is not interested in making friends at all.Â
And maybe Nat decides he doesn’t like heroes much at all.
And maybe he ends up hanging out with the big bro he was so fond of when they were little.
I really hope the thief was Hawks! It would explain so much: his "hero worship" of Endeavor, why he was so driven to end up becoming the #2 hero at age 22, why he was selected to play double agent to the LoV...
Yep. Besides, it’s not like Hori has any qualms about throwing sixteen year olds into the deep end.

I think the thief mentioned might be a relative of Hawks rather then the man himself.
Well... if it was seven years ago that would make Hawks 16 at the time, which is young but not unreasonable. So it could be either.
Either Hori’s lazy with names or Hawks used to be a petty criminal.
I guess that makes a bit more sense as to why he was the one selected to go undercover with the League. Maybe he’s done back alley dealings with Dabs before- maybe he’s been doing them for a while.
So lemme get this straight
Nat believes Enji killed Touya. Nat is now being effectively held at gunpoint by a villain who wants Enji to kill him.
So like, Nat’s gonna watch his dad do a murder and get flashbacks to seeing Touya going down in a training match, right? And he’s gonna be confronted by his trauma and go off on Enji, right?
And then Enji’s gonna reveal that Touya isn’t really dead yeah?
And Nat’s gonna go looking for his brother yeah?
And then we get an arc which simultaneously addresses what happens when a hero does a murder, gives Nat his catharsis, and has him reach out to Dabi, right Horikoshi?
