Hypnos looked at the other with glee. Byeol was someone he considered a friend. A really nice guy. Hypnos saw the other frown. He wanted to make sure the other feel better. 

He looked at the ring toss and then at the demi-titan with excitement. Hypnos, gently put his hand on Byeol’s shoulder with an easy-going smile. 

“I’m going to win you that big teddy bear,” Hypnos stated as if it was guaranteed.

He wasn’t the type to be pessimisstic but he wanted to tell the person in question this. Even though he wasn’t sure how they felt. 

“Hey are you sleeping?’” Hypnos laughed. “I know you don’t like to but it’s true you have to sleep.” He paused for a moment. 

“I wish I was better to you. I wish I could punch whoever did this to you. But I’m a fae.And not even as powerful as you know who.” He shrugged. “Or I think I’m a fae I’m really tall for one and the chair are too small for my butt.”  There was a pout. “I think I should ask mom or dad about that one day.”

“What I’m trying to say is-I’m sorry for disappointing you.” The tear streamed down his cheek. “If I work really hard, maybe I can your respect back.” He sniffled. Even he knew that was imposible.“Maybe get a cool set of wings to fly with you” 

“But even if I don’t.” He took a deep breath.

 “You will always be my best friend and lil winged brother.” 

Hypnos decided to be himself. Hands in his pockets, the usually jovial fae was contemplating. Why was his former lover Pantislea creeping up in his mind? Was it because of the love festival? The fae sighed to himself. “Don’t work yourself up over something that can’t be fixed.” 

It was when he looked up when he gasped. That set of raven locks, the way her skin shined. It was no doubt in his mind that he saw. 

“Persephone!” He said walking forward, unsure if his eyes were playing tricks on him. “Is that really you?” 

Past 

Hypnos poked his head from behind the bushes. He saw a frown on his brother’s features. Hypnos sighed as he pulled the leaves ot of his hair. 

“You should laugh for the effort I made, Than.” He ruffled the others hair. “But you deserve a laugh.” Hypnos said sincerely. His silly eterior becomes serious for a second. Sometimes he worries that his little brother won’t laugh. There was a goofy grin on the faes face.  He began to walk backwards. 

“Oh no it seems I’m falling down.” Hypnos preended to fall on the ground. “Oh no.” He faked a falling. He looked up at Thanatos with the hopes of a laugh.

Hypnos watched the other try to sleep. Attina seemed stressed-he wanted to take care of her. There was something undeniably sweet about her- he wanted her to have nothing but the best. Hypnos leaned closer to the edge of the bed. He looked at her. 

“It takes time.” Hypnos promised. “Sleep takes a lot of time for others.” He smiled. “But I promise you are in good hands.” The fae whispered. He gently laid next to her with a smile. His hair hopefully covering his blush. 

“Just close your eyes.” he instructed. “I won’t leave.” He whispered. He laid beside her, watching her intently. He was going to protect her, even if it killed him. Hypnos waited until she was fast asleep before pushing hair back.
