Shirahoshi calls Vivi Vivi-chan-sama, which implies that she copied Rebecca in calling her Vivi-chan and then appended -sama to be polite, and that’s just... really cute, guys.

The fact that Vivi just marches up to Lucci and grabs his collar and threatens him...she’s fearless and I love her for it.

yeah! i’ve actually mentioned it before with jinbe, who uses this sometimes as well- for example, he used to refer to luffy as omae-san before eventually dropping the formality (during their fight post-marineford, iirc) and just using omae. it’s a pretty unusual speech pattern but it does show up now and again. 

On the other hand, what Kaku’s saying certainly isn’t wrong, and I’ve seen...differing interpretations of this but the main thing I want to highlight is that he’s done this before and at least in that instance, given that it genuinely seemed as if he didn’t want anything to happen to the other shipwrights, I’m inclined to take his words at face value (that is, regardless of his own feelings, he knows that the higher world powers are perfectly capable of eliminating anyone for any reason so it probably did save some people one way or the other).

Hina also mentions the Rocks Pirates in this scene which I think is the first time we hear about them, too...
