Okay I’m fairly sure this was another ‘nakama’ reference in the original text so Luffy’s not actually saying Law’s part of his crew, but it’s still not a term that Luffy uses for that many people so it’s fairly significant in that sense!

so a friend of mine is liveblogging her reread of dressrosa on discord, and she posted this panel of luffy, and i was like “wait... that looks familiar.”
anyways. parallels
Poor Law, he'll have an aneurysm at this rate (these all happened within three pages in the same chapter).
Also, when will he accept his status as official nakama? Once the moon is blue and Hell freezes over?
Aww Luffy’s so happy to hear people praising Usopp... also thank you Cabbage for finding Law’s hat but also I like his fluffy hair so maybe not that much thanks
Someone asked me awhile ago whether Luffy refers to Law as tomodachi (friend) or nakama (crewmate/teammate) in Punk Hazard, and the answer was tomodachi, but by the midpoint of Dressrosa he’s been upgraded to nakama. He’s not thrilled about it.

Hello! I've been rereading parts of the manga again and as I haven't got most of my volumes on me rn I'm reading online. And I was wondering, in chapter 748 on page 10, when all the coliseum fighters are pretty much "protecting" Luffy, Zoro and Law, the fan translation I have says they say "Fuck off". Now I know One Piece uses swears words but I don't think these heavy ones, right? If you can, could you tell me what they say in Japanese?
One Piece uses plenty of heavy swearing by Japanese standards, it’s just that Japanese straight up doesn’t really have a solid equivalent to ‘fuck’ and its many derivatives.
Anyways, if you mean here, Luffy says いい加減にしろ/ii kagen ni shiro which means something more like ‘cut it out’ or ‘knock it off.’ You could translate it as ‘fuck off’ if you wanted, to be honest.
This is. Quite the crew.
Though I do respect that all of these guys, despite trying to out-do each other here, are honorable enough to turn their attention to Doflamingo instead of participating in his bounty-hunting contest so it again is a good setup for what happens at the end of the arc.
