Welcome to coin fight 2025!
For those that don't know, basically you make terms inspired by what another user likes, which is known as "attacking".
This year, it will go from the 19th to the 26th, with a potential 1 week extension. Either way, it will both start and end at 12 PM EST.
How to join:
sign up by filling out the form here(link). it's only 3 questions, so it won't take any time at all i hope.
reblog your respective team post to let people know which team you're a part of! ( comedy / tragedy ) (both links)
If it is either before the start or less than 36 hours after, you can pick your team, but otherwise, you will need to wait until you get a message from us with your team to continue, as we are closing off picking your own team after that. (aka priority picking ends at 12 AM EST on the 20th.)
make a section in your pinned or something similiar that contains the stuff you want your attacks to be about. You can also put it in the wish list channel of the official coin fight server(link)!
Reblog the team post for your team(WIP) so that when others view the reblogs, they can see you!
"Attack" another user by making a term inspired by the section for coinfight they made! Tag both the attacker and this account. Approximating the point total(which we'll explain in a sec) is also appreciated so that things are easier for us.
Point explanation:
Start off with 5
Friendly Fires(aka attacking someone on the same team as you) results in -2
Each chain of a revenge adds +1, starting from the 2nd link (basically, in the 5th link it'll be +4 and so on.)
However, there is a soft cap to revenge chains; the bonus will max out at +5. You can do more terms to revenge chains, but they will not gain more revenge points. This is to encourage not just attacking the same person the whole event.
Non gender terms get a +2 point bonus; this can only be done for one post a day.
Rules:
you can only do 5 attacks each day! any more will not be added.
tag your posts with #coinfight2025! this is so we dont miss any posts since tagging sometimes doesnt send notifications!

The terms themselves don't need to be unique, just the flags.
Please don't try to submit flags that you made before the event!
Make sure to check the DNI of the person you'd like to attack, so that things don't get weird.
all attacks relating to transids, MUDs, paraphilia-related terms, stances and NSFW terms will not be counted.
Please don't try to cheat to get more points. You *will* get blacklisted from future coin fights.
the non-gender term bonus won't count unless it's a specific umbrella(for example, saying a term related to x and y won't count, while saying a vesil term relating to x and y or similar would).

But before I start all that, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who participated, even if you did just one attack. I care so deeply about this event, and have since it was first conceptualized in 2023 by 🫀, so it makes me really happy that people enjoy it.
