this is slick! he’s one of my first dnd characters and he’s gone thru several iterations before I finally stuff with this one. He’s a wonderful bird man whose full name is Shufflin’ Slick and he won eldritch powers in a card game lmao

She may be methodical, cold and remorseless in the slaying of zombies, odd and erratic in her mannerisms, snappish towards her uninfected teammates and rarely violent when she mistakes them for the monsters. But she does everything in her power to control herself and protect those around her; after all they and their lives are priceless.

He’d thoroughly lament that survivors --- assuming that the woman before himself was one --- were getting way too bold with killers, outside of trials. What if he’d been in a bad mood? What if he was with an unseen someone else, like Rin, like Sally? What if he’d felt like putting his weapon, his own teeth, to test against her? What if?

But, cruel as he might have been, he wasn’t yet so callous to not understand this stranger’s relief at finally finding someone able to understand her; and certainly not so evil to just dish out violence without reason.

So, long story short, yes, she was safe.

All 4 are major leaders in the new society. Busy people. Social time is limited, if any at all

Anytime people come back dead, Bill in the first informed outside of recovery teams. He prepares the recruits for their new posts.

Poppy is constantly coming back injured

Prim is also returning home, injured every time

Prim comes home and locks herself up to deal with her work (which is a lot) and won’t leave her office for days on end

Nick is usually extremely busy running the hospital, but will absolutely leave if he can to drag Prim away from her work so she doesn’t die because she doesn’t take care of herself

Prim and Nick are married, though that may not be public knowledge

Poppy is the only person who knows about certain things Prim does behind closed doors and is trusted to know when Prim cuts through the red tape to get what she wants

When the day comes that Bill passes, his second fills in for him as leader of the infantry, but sticks to what Bill left behind, showing Bill’s effective rules and teachings

Despite Nick’s injuries, he’s still managed to be one of the best snipers the militia has ever had (fact brought to you by Cabot)

Should Prim pass away too soon, she leaves her post as Commander to Poppy rather than any of her generals or even her second because Prim doesn’t trust them to do as she has done. She trusts Poppy to continue her work.

Prim leaves murals all over the place because it does a lot to boost morale

Bill and Nick are left in charge of things while the girls are out doing their work

Prim is the one who is away from home the longest --- she leads the biggest runs back into the world, and so she has to be gone for long periods of time

Surprisingly, this doesn’t fully strain Prim and Nick’s relationship.

Nick has the authority to call off runs and scavenges. As does Bill.
