·         To enter into safe mode you need to restart you system.

·         You need to press and hold ‘F8’ key after initialization of the hardware and preparation to load the operating system and before appearing the Windows logo.

·         If you fail to press F8 key and the Windows logo appears or if the operating system begins to load, you may need to restart the computer and try again.

·         After pressing F8 key, it will appear Advanced Boot Options screen. Select Safe Mode, by using arrow key and press ‘Enter’ key. If you need internet access in safe mode then choose option as ‘Safe mode with networking’.

·         Windows will boot into Safe Mode. When the desktop appears, it will display as 'Safe Mode' in all four corners to let you know that you're in safe mode.

·         Now your pc is started and you can troubleshoot the errors. After finish you have to click on ‘Start’ menu and click on ‘Shutdown’ and ‘Restart’ to reboot your pc in normal mode.

·         If the problem still prevents you from getting to the normal mode, you may need to go back into Safe Mode or try something more extreme.

3.    Error Reporting Service Sometimes applications get crashed and ask for sending reports to Microsoft. It reports unexpected application crashes to Microsoft. But generally nobody uses this feature. So its better to disable this service.

4.    Fast User Switching Compatibility If you are using User’s profiles or accounts it provides compatibility to switch between users easily and faster. If you don’t have user accounts then disable this service.

To disable services let’s see how to do it: Click on the Start menu button, click on Run and type SERVICES.MSC in text box and click OK. A ‘Services’ window opens up listing all services that are currently running on machine. To disable service that you desire to disable, right click on it, select Properties from the Context Menu. Click on General tab, in ‘Startup type’ list box select ‘disable’ and click ‘OK’. After finishing all disabling, reboot the machine. Your disabled services will take effect from the next boot.
