(this ask was inspired by the events of a few minutes ago where some weird bug was on my wall and i tried to get rid of it by hitting it with a volleyball while imagining having a cool girlfriend to get rid of it for me)

anyway uhm! this is a bit tricky to answer in a way bc they have both struggled with vulnerability in the past. ena has her tsundere-like pride + her dad called her too weak to pursue art so i think she kind of sees herself crying as a bit of a weakness. i think in canon, the only times we see her crying is out of anger (except at the very end of ena5 heh). mizuki is similar in the sense that crying is too vulnerable, and she cant really show that side of herself to anyone, bc she has to keep up the illusion that she’s happy, tho mostly for herself.

and this funny thing happened to me and my wife irl and it happened to my other friends after they got into a long-term relationship they felt happy and safe in, where you just get… more emotional. i swear it’s a thing!! you tear up at stupid ads and cry over dog videos together and bawl your eyes out at slightly sad scenes in a movie. so i think they’d be crying a lot like that – also bc mizuki is on hrt and it makes her more emotional, and ena starts softening up. she’s always telling mizuki crying is okay and mot shameful so it would be hypocritical of her if she didnt allow herself to shed a tear or two while watching a cat video okay.

my first thought was MADOHOMU but then i was like "hold up... homu is ourple...... :(" and my brain went to kuromi & my melody instead
