Looking through the pictures of all the animals the humane society and APA have taken in from the fires is the saddest thing ever.

I would take in all of the poor burned dogs and cats, they all look so sad. :(

Austin is updating their maps regarding fire damage. Steiner Ranch is going to be opened up around noon. You'll need an ID to get in. The press conference in Bastrop -- which is about to start -- can be seen here.

Fires in Bastrop County have consumed more than 29,000 acres and continue to spread this morning, forcing new evacuations as it moves closer to the city limits and other crucial property. Overnight, the main Bastrop fire that broke out Sunday grew to 28,500 acres, and another 300 residents were evacuated, said Melissa Yunis, spokeswoman for the Texas Forest Service. It's zero percent contained.

To help with Texas fire evacuations, I've currently got access to enough pasture for about 60 horses. Trucks and trailers ready to go. We can move 10 horses at a time.
