Rick tried to turn Morty in Diane
I just wanted to talk about how passive-agressive and somewhat rude the Characters are in the original books (i loved it by the way it felt like kids talking to eachother irl) like when Pooh visits Rabbit and he tries to pretend there isn't anyone home gosh i loved it
I completely agree. I think the element of "heavy attitudes" (within the context of the innocence of the consequences in that world) is one of the most important layers of Winnie the Pooh.
Everything feels... much more NATURAL.
We all know Rabbit is a perfect example. This animal embodies a literalism guided by "functional and important things," leading him to respond to others with cold or emotionally distant phrases (never considering the consequences, because the other characters are too incredulous). That's one of the reasons I love him so much.
But I'd even venture to say that Eeyore also includes many witty and sarcastic comebacks in his numerous dialogues.
(Below, I share my favorite excerpts from dialogues/situations that deal with this topic).
I don't think I'll ever be completely satisfied with Disney's work on WTP (excluding the obvious focus they've given it on the stage), because they censored it SO MUCH that it no longer has those interactions (which contain sharp, double-edged comebacks).
I think they looked at Pooh and assumed everyone was equally naive. Well, sure, they showed that, but they TOOK IT TO AN EXTREME; Rabbit is the most "grumpy" character of all (they took away Eeyore and Owl's grumpy attitudes).
RARE MOVE: The US House of Representatives has censured Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the Palestinian American Democrat, for her rhetoric in the wake of Hamasâs Oct. 7 invasion of Israel, including using the term âfrom the river to the sea.â
The 234-188 vote saw 22 Democrats vote to censure Tlaib. Some Democrats vehemently defended Tlaibâs right to free speech and others said the âFrom the river to the seaâ term signifies the elimination of Israel. - ToI

Casey Novak x reader ft Alex Cabot. Warnings: language, smut, masturbation, kind of semi public sex?
You were sprawled across the couch, pout on your lips as you half glared over at Casey on the other end, she was supposed to be out on a celebratory lunch date with you, having finally got a day off after winning a major case. Instead, sheâd answered her phone right as you were about to leave and got trapped into a work call, occasionally scribbling words down on the legal pad that lived on the coffee table. Checking your watch you realized itâd already been nearly 25 minutes, youâd lost your reservation by now for sure, you let out an impatient huff of a groan which elicited no response from your fiancee.Â
One year ago today we made this Morning Paper image for @wifeduringquarantine. One of my absolute faves from the series. I'd had the idea for it - a blindfolded person "reading" a censored newspaper - before covid but never shot it. My initial thought was to shoot it environmentally in a kitchen, but we'd already shot the Staff Meeting image with our pups in our kitchen for the project (swipe), so I wanted a different look/background. I considered doing it on black or white seamless but then decided the newspapers everywhere would be a better visual. And that change from environmental and decision to use newspaper rather than seamless helped it not just visually but thematically, the person unwilling or unable to read the news but being literally surrounded/drowning in it. . . #morningpaper #newspaper #blindfolded #censured #iso1200 #portraitperfection #makeportraits #makeportraitsnotwar #editorialphotography #editorialphotographer #mediumformatmag #myfujifilm #fujilove #fuji #fujifilm #fujifeed #fujifilm_us #portraitmood #gfx100s #mediumformat #portraitvision #portraitmood #portrait_vision #portrait_mood #portrait_planet #portrait_mf #ad600 #ad200 #godox #gf3264mm #wifeduringquarantine https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb-QaviAQmu/?utm_medium=tumblr
