AJ really did not know how long she had been staying in this cafe near her apartment, it was her day off and she spent her day mostly out. It’s been three hours since she arrived here, her latte half empty. The ice already melted and she haven’t touched her latte for an hour already. She was busy, busy playing a video game in her laptop for almost three hours. She looked at the time, almost twelve. Maybe she should finally pack up, after all she was sure the cafe was nearly closing.

Like everyday, DJ’s day always started early. There was a lot for him to do, a lot for him to get ready for. There were beans to roast and tables to clean. It had turned into a habit not long after. The sun had barely touched the horizon and he was already busy with the shop. Though having turned in late the previous night due to inventory, he went with the usual schedule with no complaints. He wanted the place to look spic and span by the time customers started to file in. He had to open at exactly seven in the morning because a regular shows up around that time and he would hate to disappoint by opening late on random days. If it was something that DJ did well, it was taking up the responsibility and shouldering it. 

It didn’t take long before he looked at the cafe and see that everything was in order, the tables were clean, the chairs were in place and slowly he started to put on the lights. He had loaded the pastry display with today’s menu, the place started to smell with freshly roasted coffee beans. He took a deep breath and sighed, as much of a routine this was, he actually enjoyed it. The calm start, the way the sky lit up as the sun began to rise and greet the new day. Today was always a new day and yesterday had become a part of the past. “Well, I hope nothing bad happens today,” he mumbled softly, during his preparations he had often forgotten that he wasn’t really a part of this world. That should a demon think it’d be fun to wreck the place and attack him, it would have. Everyday he had crossed his fingers, wished, hoped, that none of that sort was going to happen to him, to the cafe and he wouldn’t have to lose people he had figured meant the world to him.

As employees went in and out of the shop, it was soon past lunch time. Stretching and taking a breather, DJ looked around, the sound of the bell that rested on top of the door catching his attention. The sight of a familiar face coming in had him smile. He knew her. She often came here at this time, looking gorgeous and pleasant as always. This was one of the few customers that DJ enjoyed serving.

“Hey, so, the usual?” he smiled brighter than he would have, his tone calm and inviting. His demeanor friendly. “I hope your day’s going well. Not too busy. Are you staying here til later?”

Perhaps Yoochun was a fool, definitely a fool and a bleeding heart, helping people, wanting to check up on them one way or another seems normal for people you know: for neighbors, friends and family. To tell the truth Yoochun didn’t know all that much about the girl he was seeking for aside from her relation to his experiments and what he got from searching and asking their former neighbors about the girl and the family, the answers being the same or just gossip, normal things neighborhood ahjummas did- or just neighbors did in general. Leaving before he could be asked in to have tea the scientist left to walk to his car, feeling spent for time already.

Travelling to and from Incheon sure was tiring that was something he had to agree on but thinking on the drive back about how strange it was for only the couple to be captured and not their daughter as well got Yoochun thinking more. She must be normal or pretty damn good at blending in... I doubt it’s that though, I bet my money on it.  The thoughts of a situation of meeting her and saying she has no relation was a theoretical situation that replayed in his head, maybe she wouldn’t of cared about what he wanted to ask. What if... What if indeed. This search not being for his own benefit but for a serious decision he had made Yoochun had to remind himself to be serious about the matter. Having to scour each place for any information about the family was needed just to make sure this Joohyun character wasn’t as crafty as his imagination played her out to be and wasn’t evading the organization for obvious reasons.

His eyes complained as he ate his breakfast alone on his dining table. His head dropped after every other blink, falling into sudden sleep. He eventually gave up trying to eat without drifting off, lowered his beanie down to his eyes more and crossed his arms, falling asleep in his chair for a bit. Once he finished his undeniably long breakfast session, he placed his hands over his eyes to put pressure against his eyelids, as if that was gonna help and he got up to wash up his plate.

You see, Sehun had the day off today, and instead of spending it sleeping like he usually does, he decided to go out and buy himself something that would entertain him. Because, although purely satisfying, spending the day sleeping meant he had less time to do other things. He wanted to get out of the house, take a breather from his family and have some much needed alone time. At this point, it looked like he wasn't really going to get anywhere with his day off.

He headed downstairs, headphones over his ears, and hands in the pockets of his jeans, while his eyes barely kept themselves open. Maybe he should have finished his stream earlier that night. He didn't because he had passed his daily subscriber limit and he was going to appreciate them by giving the viewers a longer stream session. He looked up at the sky once he was out and walking, seeing the sky slightly cloudy, making him smile. Of course, his favorite weather was the one that suited him, he felt protected under dark clouds.
