Here’s my progress through painting Mandala of the Week 2017 #9: Instagram Mandala
As with most of my paintings of late, I go in without any preconceived ideas as to color choices. I paint the “next” section that catches my eye and I use the color that either pops into my head, or the one I see when I look over at my paints, or the one that feels like it wants to be in that particular section. It’s a step-by-step process.
I use Holbein, Golden, and M. Graham acrylics paints, matte medium, and gel pens on Canson mixed media paper.
