i can't help but wonder if its some kind of resentment thing too, bc its like you'll sometimes see these long threads about how miserable they are, how little sleep they get, how they barely get to spend time alone with their spouse, let alone go anywhere with their friends, how their health is falling to the wayside, how they had dreams they put aside when kids showed up, but when you use this information in your own calculations about having children, the story changes -- the only way to be fulfilled and worthwhile is to be a parent, no other way, nope.

that’s actually really great advice and not something i’d thought of. depression is kind of a weird one for me because it isn’t like full unipolar depression but a symptom of other conditions -- my chronic illness, for one. i feel like i’m still trying to come to grips with it all i guess, and frustrated i haven’t coped faster >< thank you so much for the encouragement
