It was such a soft request, and one that Eve was always ready to do for him. Whether he was upset, or tired, or just wanted to snuggle, Eve wanted to be the one to hold him. Wrapping her arms around him and having him close, made her feel closer to him, so the request brought a smile to her lips.

The forest they're in is dark and dangerous, she'll admit, but she doesn't appreciate someone telling her where she can or can't be. Besides, she wants to find this Wu as soon as possible with as little interference as possible. 'Says who?' Kimiko rolls her eyes, cheeky as always. This man, whoever he is, seems to be afraid for her in that weird sort of protective way which she doesn't appreciate. Even if she is used to being underestimated, she doesn't appreciate it. She doesn't want to be reminded of her youth when she's been around this particular rodeo since she was a literal child. She was never a normal child or allowed to be one since she could remember, so she adjusts accordingly.

with trepidation, a sharply-dressed man paces outside the door of an office. his glasses catch the light from above, && he squints — eyes narrowing even further than usual — before taking them off to wipe them on the hem of his coat.

anxious, maiza? a voice in his head inquires, && he exhales loudly. "do you have something to say, ronny?" maiza murmurs. he can hear his patron's laughter echoing faintly. i was simply curious... well, no matter. "then do you mind?" speaking louder than he intends. unsurprisingly, he gets no response. replacing his glasses, maiza raps his knuckles against the door, && then pushes it open, stepping halfway inside before speaking.

Regardless of how she knows she is supposed to act in most situations, Eve realizes that she feels almost REGAL when Arawn brings her hand up to his mouth to kiss the back of it like she's a proper lady. It makes her heart swell, but it also endears him to her that he thinks she's deserving of such treatment. His warm lips make her cheeks flush, but she can't help the words that tumble out.
