EMD 2020 - Request

Gajeel Redfox - Fairy Tail 

This one was interesting for me since I’m not 100% familiar with the character. Though, it made me sit down and restart watching the anime for inspiration. LOL

After the fight, the brooding blonde had been a tired one. He had simply made his way home to his very own bachelor pad without even interrupting his team. They had been celebrating with the rest of the guild so there was no point in stopping that. All he had needed was to sleep for a little which he had. The moment he got home and his head hit the pillow, he drifted into a dark dreamless sleep. It had been the knocking at his door that drew him out of it.

Throat dry as he had pushed himself up to limp to the door. His cloak was hung on a chair and the shirt he had worn had still been bloody but he didn’t even notice that. It was a walk from his room, down the hall to where the front door was. There the blonde girl stood at his door, her tone caused a snarl at his lips. Reaching up to wipe the blood as his pride was shining through in that moment. 

As he was about to speak, her addendum came out with the please. Sighing he left the door open and turned to walk into his house. There was a limp to his walk as he led her past the main room and into the living room. Most people expected the lightning dragon slayer to live modest like the rest but it wasn’t him. There was a hot tub in the back with a bar even. It was the fit to a bachelor pad. It got lonely sometimes but he’d never say that. 

“You know, you sound good saying please like that..” the comment came out from under his breath with a smirk as he began unbuttoning his shirt.

His hands fumbled with it a bit as he couldn’t help the tiredness that was still over him. Pulling it off as he threw it to the side and wiped at his mouth. Glancing over at her as the wound seemed to be doing far from the best. It was something he was going to take care of once he wasn’t as tired. That had to be taken care of first so he was merely going to sleep for a bit.

“For a nurse, that was a pretty rude introduction.. but the nurse routine as pleasent as it is, blondie.. isn’t needed.” 

You, my dear, are a beautiful, amazing, wonderful person who I adore, and I am so glad to see you back. I really hope that this year, and this decade, are kinder to you than years prior, and I'm so glad that we're friends. Keep your head up and remember that you are loved. <3

Truth be told, there were any amount of people he could ask. If he had told Evergreen to come join him then she would’ve told Elfman that she’d return. Bixlow would’ve put off the few days he planned to relax to join him. He was smart though because asking Lucy meant having someone who actually knew what they were doing and a chance to get her face to turn that pretty shade of red. Not that he’d ever openly compliment it as such. He could tell that she hadn’t really calculated what this all meant though until they were standing in the door.

The room came free as a thanks on top of a pretty damn good payment. It was a nice enough room and the bed was a decent size. Looking over his shoulder as her face had turned that deep shade. When she spoke there was the same stuttering that was rewarding to hear. It sounded like she was quick to back out of the fact that it would be best to share the bed.

“What are ya talking about blondie? I’ll keep my distance in the bed.. there’s no reason to waste your magic or tire your spirits out.” he responded with a wave of his hand. There was that same grin on his face that showed he knew exactly what he was doing. Turning to face her as he eyed her up and down. His ears twitched lightly as he heard her; of course he would. There wasn’t much that could get by him. 

“Unless you’re scared..? This job is going to be a lot of fun..” 

With that he put his hand against the door frame and leaned on it. His height was imposing on her as she looked down at him. The tight muscle shirt defining him well as he had that half grin. Reaching up he lifted some of her blonde locks in his hands and let them gently fall out.
