@volitionbeauty recently launched Celery Green Cream @sephora, The brand sent me one to try and I’ve been using it for a little over a week. Sharing my early thoughts on it now! . The Celery Green Cream is an oil- free gel cream that contains celery extract, peptides and hyaluronic acid. Celery has been a popular ingredient in the wellness community for a while, but this is the first time I’ve seen it showcased in a skincare product. In addition to celery, it contains other plant extracts like green tea for antioxidant protection, apple and raspberry extracts for brightening and smoothing and cucumber extract to help soothe and calm. Celery has moisture retaining and anti-inflammatory properties in addition to helping to purify . I've been using the Celery Green Cream mostly in the mornings because I like to use light hydrators in the daytime. I appreciate that this is lightweight texture with an ingredient list that’s focused on hydration and plumping, but without ingredients like shea butter and EOs. I have very oily, acne prone skin and this has been working really well for me in this summer heat. The Celery Green Cream leaves my skin more plump and hydrated, with no added oiliness. I tend to get dehydrated tightness on my cheeks around noon, but this really helps to keep my skin plumped up and hydrated for a longer period of time. I think this would be great for all skin types, with more dry types using this as an extra hydration layer . I noticed that it doesn't sink in right away, but it does fully absorb after 30 seconds or so. It also wears well under makeup and sunscreen. The Celery Green Cream doesn't have added fragrance, and it takes on the scent of the plant extracts. It smells faintly of cucumber with a hint of celery.
