Celeron vs. AMD!
Weāve had a couple customers recently trying to figure out which model,Ā fit-PC3 Pro with AMD T56NĀ processor orĀ Intense PC Value with Celeron 847E processor, gives you better bang for your buck (TDP orĀ Thermal Design PowerĀ in geek-speak).
Hereās a summary of some benchmarks we found over at the excellent OpenBenchmarking.org:
fit-PC3 Pro - AMD G-T56N 1.65Ā GHz 64 bit dual core 18W Hyperthreading? No Benchmarks FLEXIBLE IO TESTER (INTEL IOMETER FILE SERVER ACCESS PATTERN)Ā 9125.41 sec FS-Mark v3.3, 1000 Files, 1MB SizeĀ 19.03 files/s Gzip Compression, 2GB File CompressionĀ 38.77Ā s
IPC Value Ā - Celeron 847E 1.4Ā GHz 64 bit single core 17W Hyperthreading? No Benchmarks FLEXIBLE IO TESTER (INTEL IOMETER FILE SERVER ACCESS PATTERN)Ā 756.98 sec FS-Mark v3.3, 1000 Files, 1MB SizeĀ 12.77 files/s Gzip Compression, 2GB File CompressionĀ 75.20Ā s
The Celeron wins handily with IO and file read/write. However, with lots of CPU math running (compression), itās quite a bit slower.
Our verdict? It's a draw:Ā it really depends on what kind of usage youāll see with your fit-PC3 Pro or Intense PC Value.Ā
