Day 11: The Collectors

Genre: historical fantasy
What first piqued my interest: The Comic Sans intro is a delight, and the magic system (magic is free until you use it to kill someone; then it starts taking years off of your life) = super cool. Also, Fiodh sounds like an excellent curmudgeon.
What I want to learn more about: Did I mention the magic system?? I definitely want to know more about that, especially how the creepy collectors work (and whether Percy can be saved from them). And of course I need to know more about how changelings like Fiodh work in this world.
What I’m excited about: Percy sounds like my kinda MC (hard on himself, singularly talented, surrounded by excellent side characters with their own interesting conflicts and backstories), so I’m already excited to see where his story goes. And concerned because I’m not convinced that “things get Very, Very Real” doesn’t mean “hope you have stock in Kleenex.” Like, lbr, I’d read it either way, but. I may need to prepare my heart first.
