CHARACTER REFS FOR MY AU CIRQUE DES CÉLESTES!

Words cannot describe how happy I am this is finally DONE. I think I started working on this in the beginning of 2025, then sat on it for a loooooong time because art block, among other reasons.

These pics are pretty massive (and already scaled down by 50%), so I'm really hoping tumblr doesn't eat the quality. I recommend opening them in a new window so you can zoom in to their full size properly, there's a lot of detail.

I might upload the actual full sizes somewhere else and link them one day~

This is like Eclipse's third redesign (though his costume hasn't changed much compared to the original) but the first designs for Sun and Moon. Very happy with how they turned out though!

Originally my plan was to also include one casual outfit design for each, because they're not in costume 24/7, but this was already getting WAY too big.

Anyway! THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN, WHOOOOO!!!!

You should totally go watch one of their shows. Who knows what might happen, wink wink 👀

Actual story chapters will go up eventually, no ETA for that yet. I wanna do a bunch of art first and get a head-start on chapters (first 2 are more or less done already). And y'know... I'm slow XD;;

But feel free to ask me questions about this AU if you want to. Or send them to the boys! They have a very busy schedule but they love interacting with their fans! Just please specify it's for this AU as I have more than one.

Eclipse here is a person who severely hurt the siblings to the point some are permanently physically affected, and he continues to drive people to death.

So I am finally finalizing the designs for the very first AU I made when I joined the DCA fandom, Cirque des Célestes (aka Circus of the Celestials, inspired by Cirque du Soleil).

We're not gonna talk about how long it's been taking me to do these designs considering how long I've had this AU (nor how long I've been sitting on chapters, ssssshhhhhh).

So these are just the doll bases (front, side and back view for each) to make it easier for me to design their various outfits and costumes. Yes the filigree took forever lol. But this is finally helping me to break out of this VERY LENGTHY and annoying art block so win!

Circus Theater AU!!! Inspired by Cirque du Soleil, featuring Sun and Moon as the main performers and Eclipse as the ringmaster and on-stage storyteller. All bow down to our jester king. _o_

This will be a y/n reader story, already got a few chapters drafted.

This started out as just a first design concept for Eclipse's costume and then it turned into a whole goddamn poster I spent way too much time on lol. I still have to design the back of Eclipse's cape as well as their off-duty non-costume outfits.

I want that cape in real life TvT y/n is gonna find themselves wrapped in it one day, calling it now.

Originally this also came with two more characters, one inspired by the Eclipse face as seen in the Balloon Boy arcade game, the other a moon inspired counterpart, but I ended up removing them for now. I might find a use for them later, who knows.

For now, Imma go doodle the celestial boys some more \o/

One Eclipse coming up for the Anon whose identity completely eludes me, I have absolute no idea who they are. Zero, nada, none. Nothing about the way that message is composed could clue me in as to who wrote it. It's a complete and utter mystery.

Eclipse from my Cirque des Célestes AU, inspired by his introduction scene in chapter 1 (which I’m still slaving away at) I was gonna include this as actual chapter art but the background setting ended up being different and I didn’t include his staff here so hm. I finished this pic like 2 weeks ago but I’ve only gotten around to writing the scene today and with it no longer quite matching up I figured I should just go ahead and share this pic separately. Really happy with how it turned out.
