no surprises ; ricky&jinyoung
if it werenât for the thought of thinking that basil would want him to stay in the league, ricky wouldâve left a long time ago. he hated going on useless missions and be expected to be a good role model to experienced and rookie magical people. the fact that he hated the old wizard who got him to become a magical boy wasnât so obvious, as he tried to keep it as lowkey as possible to the others. it isnât fair to be collecting cards and fighting monsters or familiars to save the world before coming a familiar himself. the only person he can talk to about his hatred for the wizard is jongin, as he was a drinking partner, a teammate, and a person who didnât like aku as much.
so curse the one magical person who managed to drag him to the expo when all he wanted to do was stay at home and watch dramas. curse them for begging him to go, practically forcing him to say âugh! fine! iâll go with you!â. hell, he shouldâve just pretended he was too sick to go. he had always been a good actor, anyways. but it was too late now because he finds himself in the expo for almost half an hour, heading his way to check out the virtual reality theme park after taking a look at the dolls and having a not so friendly conversation with a rival of his. if it werenât for him, he mightâve actually thought he could have a good time here. but who knows? maybe checking out what they had in store would make him feel better.Â
of course, being the careless person he is, he doesnât watch where he is going and he lightly bumps into one accidentally. heâs ready to shoot an insult to a stranger and tell them to watch where they are going (even if he himself should be watching where he was going), but as the person around him turned around, he recognizes the face and he decides to not say any insults to him now. he wasnât in the mood to shout at teammates who were special class, anyways.Â
âoh, itâs you,â he says. âi thought you were some stranger and i was about to tell you to watch where you were going and give you a random nickname.â he debated on whether he should actually apologize for bumping into him. but being himself, he doesnât even want to admit heâs at fault. he never does, anyway.
