Kaito & Rogue [Headcanons] - Part 1
(my) Rogue heard rumours that Kaito defeated Gajeel back when he was still in Phantom Lord, it was actually Natsu (like in canon but Shiro the Exceed thought it was funny to spread the rumour at the time
in most of Kaito’s verses during the Grand Magic Games, Gajeel is ambushed by Raven Tail, leaving Kaito to take his place for the Sting & Rogue battle.
On the final day of the Grand Magic Games, Kaito fights Rogue who later gets consumed by Shadow Dragon Force. Seeing his old self in Rogue, Kaito tries to break him out of without using force. As a last resort after exhausting his options, Kaito uses his Blizzard Dragon Mode to finish the fight as quickly as possible, though it leave Kaito drained for when he confronts Sting with the rest of hte Fairy Tail team.
for Kaito’s main verse with Vivienne @crystaldragonslayer, there are many parallels drawn from Future Rogue for Future Kaito, who went mad from grief after Gray kills Vivienne who was protecting him. Future Kaito even controls a knocked out Rufuts to try and kill Gray for him too, but is stopped with the arrival of present Kaito & Vivienne to protect Gray..
in Kaito’s Sabertooth verse, Kaito & Rogue serve as Sting’s right hand men and assistants once he becomes master. especially when he gets overwhelmed by paperwork, also supporting Sting when he was fighting Larcade. All three are Third Generation Dragon Slayers, so often train/spar together as well, and worked together to save and bring Minerva back home from Tartaros.
