Posting this as a point. To illustrate how incredibly bonkers, and ridiculously violative people get with the idea of celebrity. (And yes, I’m well aware this is a blog exclusively dedicated to loving-up on (and playfully-chiding) Jared Leto.)

It makes me uneasy and very much weirded-out that BareBurger-Toronto is apparently so desperate to be linked to Jared that they reviewed probably an hour or so of tape and shittily captured a piece of closed-circuit security camera footage of Jared doing sidewalk push-ups outside of their establishment after he supposedly dined there the night before - and then proceeded to post it on their public Instagram account and thank him for coming in.

This is disturbing on so many levels and seems like such a bizarre violation of a person’s basic rights. Security cameras should be used for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of a business’ customers and employees. Not for starfucking.

Just because he is a celebrity doesn’t mean you have a right to post CCTV footage of him - without his knowledge.

If I were jaredleto - I honestly would seriously give thought to requesting they remove this - its use of his image as some sort of endorsement (tho honestly this makes me want to go anywhere other than BareBurger TO) - is something to which he probably did not give spoken or written consent.

And if I were BareBurger - Toronto? I’d pull this down as soon as fucking possible because while I may have initially thought it would be a cool idea to post security camera footage of a recognizable individual doing something kinda strange - it’s actually fucking creepy. And I would worry about my customers maybe having concerns over what other things their employees may be recording on their cell phones without their consent or knowledge.

I seriously hope I’m not the only person who feels this way?
