So for the last year or so I've been questioning whether this is what I want to do with my life. Rescue is hard! It's heartbreaking seeing what animals go through. It's infuriating seeing what humans are capable of, and their lack of empathy. It's exhausting having to give my time, my money, my affection - to other people's animals, who deserve the world but have only ever received only a fraction. Sadly though that isn't what made me question my choices...There are a lot of politics in rescue, and THAT is what pushed me to the brink. Who would have thought!! However! Recently I have met many sensational people in rescue who are supportive, helpful, generous and selfless. I have been watching people all over the world coming together for the benefit of the piggies. I have spoken to people whose morals match mine, people who have no time or energy for drama or competition. It's so easy to forget that you have an enormous network of like minded people behind you when someone crushes you.
