Can I ask a hypothetical question? With the technology we have, why can't we remove a cat's claws without removing their toes? Human nail removal doesn't require amputation; the nail is simply pulled out and the nail bed cauterized. Why wouldn't this work on cats? DISCLAIMER: Declawing cats would still be a bad idea even if it didn't require amputation. They need their claws to groom and to feel secure!

Many vet clinics that still offer declawing are now opting to do it with a hot laser due to the increased accuracy and lower amounts of tissue damage. Even when the procedure is performed with one of these lasers (essentially cauterizing the toe), there is always the chance that part or all of the claw will grow back if the entire last toe bone is not removed. If youāre not squeamish, you can look up āfailed cat declawā for examples. Itās just not aĀ āthingā in cats.

I just noticed today that everyone in the theatre smell of burnt flesh and fat. Cause we have all been taking in the smoke that is released during the process of cauterisation. Also, it makes me hungry. Yes, I am a carnivore.
Here comes the propaganda! Honestly I think you are cooking with cautery (Legs x Pyro). Kinda feels like a less doomed bloodletting to me. If they had had more of a relationship from the start or if Pyro had put his trust in Legs with the whole cure thing I think they could have been really healing to eachother (pun intended). Like Pyro might have snapped out of it if he had had someone who told him that he wasn't a monster and maybe he could have gotten Legs to see some good in himself too.
Just realised these two freaks are gonna live rent free in my head now and there aren't even a lot of fics about them. So please let them win so people write about them more. I need this for my sanity
