My mom just told me that there's a wine advent calendar and that's the most Catholic thing I've ever heard of. I want one.
Send prayer requests my way :)
Finding Your People
Well, I’ve been in college for almost two months so far and it feels like so much has happened. I have met so many people and enjoyed living in a completely new place far away from my hometown. Within the past two weeks, I have done a lot of thinking regarding who I choose to be in college. I see college as an opportunity to either advance yourself, regress, or stay the same. I knew I wanted to grow stronger not only in my academic life, but in my faith. My university has a beautiful Newman center and everyone there has been so welcoming. It doesn’t matter where you are from or what year you are or what your background is, they make that place feel like home. My roommate and I have been going to Bible study and attending daily mass and let me tell you, it has been the best decision ever. I realized the true value there is in having a core group of people to surround yourself with that not only want to grow stronger in their faith, but they want to help you grow stronger in yours as well. So mora of the first two months of college: give a lot of your free time to God, it is a beautiful habit to get into. So far so good, everyone! Prayers are much appreciated. I am always praying for you.

So when someone comes out and openly opposes something, on the right of course, its okay to label them as a bigot, hateful, and intolerant. However, when one, on the left of course, decides to make obscene comments about how intolerant, stupid, ridiculous, ludicrous, hateful, bigoted, "retarded," stupid, the list can go on forever, they are labeled as heroes, defenders of their beliefs, etc.Â
Can we all see a pretty obvious bias to the left?Â
If you cannot, ya'll are more blind than I, and my eyes are tiny...
Chris Broussard, I give you mad props for sticking true to your Christian beliefs, making purely legitimate arguments, and especially making comments about how you, as well as all other bible believing Christians, believe that even fornication/adultery/homosexuality is "an open rebellion to God."Â
Yet, you are only getting heat from the comments on homosexuality. This, first and foremost is absurd. You called out essentially 99% of American culture, but get heat about your comments addressing well, essentially 1 person out of all Americans.Â
These accusations are based on bias and hate.Â
The illogical remarks used to bash on ANY right wing thinker is just incredible. We cannot openly opposed viewpoints that directly go against our beliefs and not be labeled as hateful bigots. Explain to me how when I get tweets saying "you're a fucking asshole." "Racist, bigoted bastard." "Intolerant asshole." and many more, when I just simply state something as harmless as, "The whole LGBTQ movement is just ridiculous." or "I support Chick-fil-a for their stance." I am met with hate.
If the persons on the left are such pacifists, lovers, and tolerant, how on earth do you meet a simple statement with such hate and legitimate bigotry and still say how all about the peace, love, and animals you are?Â
Just as the legendary Abraham Gross says, "We prolife/pro man and woman thinkers will be classified as worse as the slave traders in the south during the civil war era." Which couldn't be more true, and for what? Opposing the opposite viewpoints, which has been an American past time for over 200 years now.Â
