I’ve never told anyone this before, but donating my son’s organs was incredibly difficult for me. I mean, you’d think as a doctor, it would be an easy choice, but there was a part of me that wanted my perfect beautiful boy to stay that way... I can’t lie and tell you that it’s going to make your loss any easier, but I got the chance to see the boy who has Will’s lungs, and it was such a huge comfort. I knew I had made the right decision. It felt like my son’s death wasn’t for nothing, and I know that if Will is out there somewhere, he would be happy about it.”
