My wife recently realized that we lost our cat Panther about a year ago. As crushed as we were, we were also worried about our cat Owen (the chonk on the left). Owen and Panther were besties -- we referred to them as the "cat bros" -- and we wondered if Owen felt the loss too. Yes, I know he's a cat and we might have been projecting, but the concern was real nevertheless. When we brought Ingrid home a few months later, we wanted her to get along with our other cats, naturally, but as they all adjusted, Owen and Ingrid gravitated toward each other. Now they regularly nap with each other, and at night, they gang up on me to ensure I can't roll over.
