A Rare Cuddle from Oswin
Oswin used to love sitting on me but hasn't done that in ages. (She's become more stand-offish with age -- she's now the Queen Bee and doesn't like the other cats to see her getting pettings.) She will meow at a hooman to get pettings (or treats) when she wants them, but she hasn't been doing Sit On Daddy for ages.
But last night she was sitting on the back of my TV chair when I came upstairs. I sat down slowly and carefully, and leaned my head back on her (gently, of course). She became Furry Vibrating Cat Pillow. Eventually, she stood up, walked down to the right arm of chair, and I gently encouraged her to sit on me. She was SO HAPPY with a supportive arm cuddle and many face, side and belly skritches, and she did purr. Eventually, it became time for Oswin to do Other Cat Things, and she got up and jumped down. But it was a lovely surprise.
