I'm so happy to bring the hybrid!au back. And cat!este!! I love este so much this is so cute.

Firstly, we know that esteban sleeps A LOT. And so in the hybrid!au, he is even sleepier! He LOVES naps and must take at least one nap a day or else he will be very upset.

We've also said that he has a very long tail, and he often has his tail wrapped around you. He does this when he sleeps too! And jeez his tail is strong. You have absolutely no chance at escape.

And he LOVES ear scratches!! He'll curl up around you, his head on your lap, pushing his head into your hand because it's nap time! He needs scratches and he must wrap his tail around you to make sure you don't move while he sleeps.

And his purring?? Oh he purrs so much!

I also think he purrs just... often? Like you take his hand while walking so he purrs a little, or you sit down next to him and so he purrs. He'll often purr instead of actually saying something? Like instead of saying thank you for handing him something, he'll purr lightly.

And he can purr SO loud.

(I’m sorry in advance for going on a complete world building tangent in my answer to this but I hope you enjoyed some of this and maybe some of you can get some inspiration)

Honestly in this AU I think that it would be pretty commonplace for boxers and pants to have little holes for tails? And I would image they sell tail warmers and like gloves for tails in the colder countries as well (OH MY GOD BUNNY EAR MUFFS).

Cause I see this AU as an AU where pet hybrids are fairly common? Maybe like 40% of the population is a pet hybrid of some kind so there would definitely be clothing options tailored for them.

However I also think that hybrids will come across clothing problems too? Like Mick is always causing the seams around the hole for his tail in his pants to split because he wags his tail so much. Charles struggles to find ear warmers that fit him cause his ears are so long, este has the same problem with tail warmers cause his tail so long. Conversely, yuki’s ears are TEENY and he struggles to find things that fit them.

Firstly, este has the cutest tail. It's so long and fluffy and black like his hair. He loves how long it is, because it's perfect for curling around you.

He's always keeping you close like that, especially when you're sitting together? There's just something so comforting about wrapping his tail about your waist as you sit together, makes him feel all nice and soft. Or when you hug him, he'll you with his tail as well? He just loves you and always wants to have you close!!

And oh my god he's so purry.

Maybe he tries to tone is down at first? All cat hybrids can purr, but it's usually not something that they do very often. Esteban used to be the same, but then he met you and you made him so happy that he could literally feel the purr bubbling up inside of him all he time.

You just smile a him and he wants to purr.

And when you're cuddling? He wants to purr so bad!! But once he starts, he knows he won't be able to stop.

Until one day he does it without even thinking, hugging you close and purring lightly in your ear cause he's so happy to be with you again.

You compliment his purring, saying that he sounds so cute and that you loved hearing it. Which of course just makes him purr even more and now he can't stop! He's purring the whole day, smiling and purring and cuddling into you, being so clingy and soft, his tail wrapped around your wrist to keep you close.

You talk after, and once he knows it won't annoy you, you have a purring monster on your hands.
