Wait though we gotta give say our graces..

Akihiko was outnumbered, cornered between that of the courtyard and the old persimmon tree. They seethed vitriol, their hands shaking as they yank him by the scruff. He could fight back, and he would have, had the fine print of his scholarship not been ripe in his mind: something about upholding a perfect record. No backyard scuffles, nothing that might land him in Kurosawaâs hot seat.Â
He stood his ground long before they jumped him, allowed their first amateur punch to hit the high of his cheekbone. Their aim to break the face of a scrap of a kid with a boxing career and a newfound trust fund was met with a broken hand and some choice words. He could take a few body blows, a kick to the solar plexus. Street brawls were nothing new in his youth, but when a thick glob of choice spit dribbles down the length of his chin, so wanes his patience.Â
Heâs about to bolt, to run the kid down, to beat him within an inch of his life, until his brother shows to throw the first punch. That silhouette was known, his fighting style consisting of a hulking frame and barely contained power. The gang withers, knowing the reputation of the damage two brothers could bring, but that doesnât stay his hand from tackling the kid amidst the chaos.
Once, twice, again and again. The rest of the crowd had ran when the blood started to coat his gloves but heâs seeing red and nothing matters more than the rancid taste of shame on his tongue.Â
Shinjiro is the first to act, pulling him hard by the back of the coat. Suddenly heâs more concerned with breaking free, than he is the rat gone scurrying back to his little entourage. Akihiko drops his hands to his knees, winded, as they both catch their breath.Â
â Iâm sorry, Iâ âÂ
The second punch to come that day, was not by some two-bit punk, but by another who knew not to tuck his thumb. All that unbridled power, saved for one last hit that made his nose run red. He coughs away the sting in his eyes.Â
He barks something about âyou almost killed the guyâ and âsave it for the ring,â but the booming in his ears stopped him from listening even if he wanted to.
Really, Shinjiro Aragaki was just sorry he didnât come sooner.

Images of what happened on October 4th never fails to flash in his mind whenever the date arrives on the calendar. It was the first time he saw someone perish right before his eyes since the Moonlight Bridge incident-- where his own parents bit the dust.
In memoriam to him after coming back, the midnight of October 4th since coming back is spent in that same back alley where the deadly confrontation happened, sitting in complete silence. It's his way of trying to move on, to let the haunting images disappear once and for all.

( when i think of an akihiko that fits me, i think of you. you're a wellspring of knowledge and creativity and the glue for us persona 3 roleplayers. my only regret is we've never had that knockout thread that i think our characters deserve (well, once i get to your draft). anyway, i enjoy the times we get to chat, however brief, because they remind me of the joy i felt when i first started playing shinjiro - seeing your akihiko, and knowing this was the scene to be. much love to you. )
I SAID I WASNâT ACCEPTING | DAMN U GUYS
Reading this deadass made me tear up! So, thanks for nothing, I guess!Â
ggod the akihiko to fit you?? Now that really is an honor I doubt Iâm even worthy of. If Iâm the so-called âglueâ of a p3 rpc then youâre the cool uncle that comes around for christmas and fucks off for the rest of the year, but not before leaving with the best present ever. Seriously it is such a goddamn treat to see you. I feel like weâve been friends for years without barely talking.Â
You also raise a good point: weâve literally never written together to 5 years whatâs up⊠with that⊠lmao. I rarely even get to write with Shinjiros these days so when (and if) that comes itâs going to be a real treat. I look forward to whatever youâre about to dish out. hah. ha. gottem.  We could even plot it out a bit if you wantâŠ
Real talk, though. You donât know how happy that makes me. You feeling the same joy that you did when you first joined? Iâm honestly feeling the same on my own end for lots of different reasons. It feels kind of like a second-wind, doesnât it? I hope it means you stick around a little longer, but if not, itâs always exciting to await your return again. The resounding blips of IMs going off of âcastr is back!!!â will never end.Â

âŒ, â”, â - how has the surfeit of new canon material forced you to change how you portray minato?
Ask a Blue Dude // accepting.
⌠- Do you think the character/characters you role play as reflect who you are?
Shockingly enough, not as much as ya might think. I can relate to him being quiet unless spoken to and pretty impulsive on occasion, but I donât have that âdonât speak to meâ vibe heâs got going on at first. Plus, I canât even begin to think of what ten years of emotional death is like, man. What draws me to the guy is how interesting his journey is from Dead Inside to the Second Coming of Christ, not how much I can empathize with him.
I mean, holy hellâthank God I canât empathize with him fully. Thatâd be some shit.
â” - Are there any other fandoms youâd like to approach?
Itâs not so much âapproachâ as it is âgo back to.â I wanna swing back into the Final Fantasy fandom and torment everyone with everyoneâs favorite shiny golden monkey, for starters. Speaking of monkeysâmy drive to go back to my old Goku blog has been pretty strong too. Since the last arc of Super finished, actually. (The upcoming movie ainât helping alleviate this. At all.)
And! And. With DMC5 on its way, my muse for Dante skyrockets by the fuckinâ day. I promised myself Iâd take things slow tho, so I havenât really capitalized and gone back to either of those blogs yet. I might soon, though. Depends on how I feel about juggling more than one blog again.
â - Wildcard! Ask the mun anything youâre interested in finding out.
Thankfully, I ghostwrote the movies (itâs trueâask Bri and Kona), so all they really did in the long run was confirm some long-running headcanons I had. That ainât to say my portrayal hasnât changed since they came out, though. For one, I like to think I made Makoto a lot less mean compared to how I wrote him when I started.Â
As for major changes to the way I wrote Makoto after the movies became a thing, I can think of two:
Before movie #4, I had him change his mind about killing Ryoji right before he was gonna do it. Then the bridge scene in the movie happened and I ended up liking it a whole lot, so I changed it to follow the movie instead.
The bike. Anyone whoâs known me for a long time knows that the bike is my fuckinâ brand. Ever since it showed up in that trailer, I incorporated it into a whole bunch of shit. MâŠostly dumb shit, but thereâs been two serious threads and a drabble I made that had it. I never in a million years wouldâve seen the bike scene coming, and I love that the writers made it a thing. âCause that opened doors for me, man.
Aside from that, no other material with Makoto in it really influenced my writing. He was pretty much what I imagined him to be in Q, Q2âČs probably gonna be more of the same (R.I.P. every other character thoâ), and the less I have to think about P3D, the better off Iâll be.
