thinking abt giving (even) more lore to my werewolves...its kinda hard but also easy bc theres a lot of existing werewolf tropes i can build on but also sometimes those tropes are ass or I don't like them. they already have a lot of lore about like what they eat, powers, etc, some random cultural stuff, but I want to go more into angst and like. ok I know what is good about being a werewolf. now what SUCKS about being a werewolf?
for example I don’t rlly like the werewolf trope that they can only transform on the full moon into like an animalistic dog with no control, obviously since I have Wolfe transform whenever and have control over when he shifts. But I think I should go more into the scary loss of control and shame over your actions side of things that werewolves always tend to have…Maybe on the full moon they aren’t forced to transform and have like an animalistic doglike brain but instead the full moon like turns up all their instincts to 100 so they become extremely angry, aggressive, protective, hungry, etc. But at the same time theyre fully aware that theyre doing it because they still have human intelligence/thought processes in any form. So its like watching yourself act unreasonable and crazy and wishing you weren't but not knowing how to stop.
