     nomadic.  two  creatures  of  shadows,  unrepentantly  free,  unchained  to  no  place  and  no  one.  except  . . .  except,  what  happens  when  you  push  two  celestial  orbs  together  ??  lonesome  in  their  orbit,  fearsome  in  the  magnetic  pull,  devourers  of  worlds.  there  is  beauty  in  chaos,  like  the  inexplicable  attraction  towards  open  flame.  are  they  not,  then,  all  moths  drawn  to  their  death  ??  lambs  for  the  slaughter,  wearing  wolf  teeth  around  their  necks,  waiting  to  see  which  one  howls  the  loudest.
   what  is  it  about  him  that  turns  her  into  starburst  ??  one  glance  from  him,  one  touch  of  rough  digits  across  perpetually  unmarred  flesh  and  sheâs  melting,  floating,  lost  amidst  the  cosmos.  she  takes  his  bloodied  hands  and  wraps  his  fingers  âround  her  neck,  slips  herself  whole  inside  the  maw  of  the  beast.  people  like  them  thrive  in  danger,  let  it  coil  around  their  bones,  whisper  in  their  ears.  people  like  them  arenât  meant  to  be  sedated.
   sheâs  pressed  against  his  side,  fingers  spread  across  his  beating  heart.  it  echoes  through  her  bones,  furnishes  the  empty  house  her  body  used  to  be.  it  makes  her  soft.  her  mother  always  told  her  that  there  are  locked  rooms  inside  every  woman;  some  men  come  with  keys.  others  break  the  fucking  walls  down.  she  said  nothing  about  those  who  coax  you  to  open  it  from  within,  to  take  down  your  own  fortress,  one  brick  at  a  time.  but,  then  again,  frank  castle  is  not  a  man  that  can  be  categorised  in  neat  little  boxes.  he  lives  to  defy.
   their  dog  is  sleeping  in  her  lap,  shadow  curled  up  against  frankâs  other  side,  the  tv  playing  some  mindless  horror  flick  thatâs  all  jumpscares  and  cheap  costumes,  and  honestly,  jessica  has  never  felt  more  domestic.  her  mouth  still  tastes  of  blood  from  where  sheâs  licked  it  from  his  split  lip,  and  sheâs  decided  for  a  night  in  so  he  wouldnât  tear  his  damn  stitches  again,  but  itâs  as  close  to  normalcy  as  they  can  get.  and  then  he  speaks,  and  she  feels  her  heart  stutter.
    â  yeah  ??  â     hickory  hues  flicker  from  the  screen  up  to  his  face,  and,  if  her  whole  body  wasnât  already  vibrating  with  the  confession,  it  would  be  now.  she  hides  it  against  his  chest  and  then,  as  she  shifts  to  straddle  his  thighs,  much  to  the  petsâ  dismay,  her  eyes  are  suspiciously  shiny  and  wet.  her  hands  find  his  cheeks,  pads  catching  onto  the  stubble,  before  mouth  crashes  against  mouth,  needy  and  gentle  and  overflowing  with  love.
